1 group of 4 and 2 groups of 3

the semi's are made up of 3 teams from the 4 team group and the winner of the play off between the 2 group winner of the 3 team groups. :? :?

am i the only one who find this all a bit fubar?

I don't get why we split GB into individual countries we cant beat the aussies as it is when we play as GB never mind just as England.

It's basically a system to suit the aussies and is similar to the end of season playoffs in the super league. It gives the strongest team the best chance of winning the final.

The Aussies have a week between their last group game and the Semi, whereas their opponents will have a midweek qualifier meaning the Ausies will easily walk over them and still be fresh for the final so even if Engalnd get past New Zealand they will get hammered in the final!

I prefer the Tri nation competition myself, where we compete as GB and have been making some real progress in recent years.
