Booing Fans Were Right

Jim Bentley apologised to Morecambe’s fans after the dismal defeat to Cambridge and said supporters were right to boo his side off.

...but Jimbo and Ken determine the tactics so they have to accept responsibility when it goes wrong just as they take the plaudits when it goes right.... :!: :!: :!:

The lack of entertainment resulting in dwindling crowds and even more financial pressure heaped on to the Board is solely down to the style (or lack of) football currently being dished up at The Globe.

You only have to look at Jim's expression, when stood in the Berlin Wall stand when Roche and Hughes hit long balls down the middle of the park to Redshaw when He s being marked by Giants, Jim doesnt bat an eyelid.

Then people come away spreading the word we play park football. And the rest goes without saying..

Can't blame Baz on this occasion...when Scott was here we reverted to mostly playing from the back and Stav has generally kept that going. What happened yesterday, f@@@ knows

Doubt even 'it' knows especially after the complimentary things posted elsewhere after Newport.

marky No.1 not blaming Bazz, blaming Jim for not stopping him and other player's or Redshaw himself saying what's the point in doing that Bazz?

PS now I think I can understand Jevons, when he stopped trying to win the ball in the air against big defenders.

it make's me wonder what they do in training, our pitch as been pretty good this season when it's compared to previous seasons, we should now be playing a passing game with the ball to feet. like we did when we gave Newcastle a game on live TV.

Just yet another excuse Jim can't use. In the past, he's blamed the pitch. He's also blamed lack of choice of squad due to injuries and suspensions. Yesterday, virtually everyone was available, the pitch was fine. So he's running out of excuses. I've mentioned training before - we've been to the open days to watch the training and it's little more than a keep-fit session followed by a kickabout just like the pre-match warm-up. I sincerely hope that the proper training sessions are a lot better than that!

On the subject of the pre-match warm up, they never change things do they? Always the same old. Anyone notice just how poor our goal-scoring practice is? Yesterday, it was only Amond who scored more than once, the others were constantly missing, going over or wide. We were watching the Cambridge warm up which seemed lot more intensive and they were scoring their goal scoring practices, even with having to turn (as they faced the kicker and had to turn).

Like someone said on the other thread, I think the club's becoming very stale in a lot of areas.
