With the announcement of SDs retirement after so many years of service let's hope that his new role will result in the continuance of our club being able to spot potential talent of the future.
Whatever issues I have with Jimbo's style of play he has without question been able to unearth a growing number of potential gems during his tenure to date.
2 seasons ago it was Jack Redshaw. Last season he spotted (albeit following a loan period) the emerging talent of Ryan Edwards and this season we've seen the likes of Aaron McGowan and Mullers both of whom I hope will see further development as regular first team players next season.
I for one hope that Jim and Stewart can unearth a couple of potential gems this close season which may result in some extra coffers in the Bank in years to come.
