Utterly pointless; travel to the airport, board plane, land in Manchester, get the coach to Morecambe and repeat on the way back. With all the pissing around its probably not much different travel wise to just get the coach for the entire trip. The only people I can see benefiting are those that don't already have a match ticket.

More brass than sense these shandy pants southerners.
Hello! Hello! We are the Morecambe boys!

So you're not interested in my Hot air balloon trip to Yeovil then?
I will send you the details when I've finished painting the fence!

Did Exeter by plane once from Blackpool, 55 minute flight for about £90 return.
When you allow for travel to the airport, 2 hour check in, collect hire car at the other end, it really isn't worth it - just sounds cool.

If they went from Heathrow it's £105 just for a flight... although I guess you could charter your own ~

Before we start slinging insults; I remember a fan flight from Warton to Cambridge for our FA cup tie at Ipswich.

IIRC something went wrong with the plane and everyone ended up on a coach back anyway

Got iced up on the runway and couldn't take off.
Organiser was pissed at the football so others found coach to get back.
Coach didn't have any heating and broke down on way back.
Arrived back freezing three hours after fans were tucked up in bed.

Hilarious.

Given the roadworks on the m56, the Semms work and the managed motorways work on the m60, this will take far longer and cost far more than getting the train. You could probably go first class for a comparible price on the day from Euston.

Good luck to them and if they can afford it, why not. After all its a "party game" so let them enjoy their travel, if not the result. I booked a FlyBe flight from Manchester to Manston (Kent) to go to a game at Gillingham some years ago, just to enjoy the experience. It was fairly cheap as I recall but the route was "pulled" a few weeks before the date so I ended up going by high speed train from London. Good experience that was too.

I think it's fair to point out that this is a rather exclusive offer for some of our corporate-type fans, your average Shrimper will be piling two or three of his mates into a hatchback for this one. We're not all minted!
