Tight shorts?

Tight shorts?

Postby KenH » Mon Oct 05, 2015 10:27 am

Something that I've noticed quite a lot this season. Several of the players are constantly pulling up the bottoms of their shorts. Are they too tight? Is this affecting their play? I know it sounds crazy, but it's something I've never seen before and don't see other teams doing it. More noticeable when defending set-pieces, as if the lads are trying to make themselves more comfortable for diving/heading etc. The only players who I've not seen do it are the thinner ones like Devitt and Flemmo. Beeley, Paz, etc are always doing it, and I have just noticed Miller doing it in the Bristol highlights, which is why I've been prompted to post it here.

This could explain the slump in form! As the shorts have been washed after each game they have got tighter and tighter preventing some of the team being able to closely mark opposition players and reducing our work rate compared to other teams in baggier shorts. However, we are Morecambe and No doubt the manager will shortly announce that the shorts are what they are!!

How do those big beefy odd-shaped ball players breathe?!

Very funny, Marky except I didn't think we could afford to lend two pairs!

I thought this was going to be a Sebb Blatter/women's football thread!

So how did that work out then?

The Lancaster Rose cheerleaders didn't last long did they? Was it just the two performances? Don't see them selling programmes/tickets either anymore.

Blimey is there a short-age of topics? I would've thought tighter shorts would make a player more aerodynamic in comparison to baggy ones!

There was at least one of the cheerleaders there on saturday assisting with the half time draw tickets being sold on the Berlin wall. Pity you missed her ;)
Don't worry be happy!
