Personally, I think we're at a pivotal point in the season. We desperately need a couple of entertaining home wins. Not just for points in the table, but also to get a bit of a buzz going at The Globe in the hope of starting to rebuild the fan base.

With the players we have, a promotion is a realistic possibility. Six points this week will put us right up there and it's easier to stay around the top with up/down performances than try to work our way up once we're lower in the table.

In the past, I've been wary of promotion, but thinking it through, the attendances will be far higher due to the number of Northern teams in L1. A promotion run will clearly bring out more home supporters too, not to mention the novelty value of coming down to see local "big" teams at the Globe on a regular basis once we were in L1.

We now have quite a few players who we could keep in L1 whereas a couple of seasons ago, we definitely had a L2 team and would have needed a lot of new faces to survive L1. With a few exceptions, I can see most of our regular starting 11 in a L1 team.

I fear for us not getting promoted to be honest. Next Summer, I doubt we'd be able to keep Miller and Barky, probably not even Devitt and Wildig, all of whom must be attracting attention from L1 teams or more prosperous L2 teams. However, if we managed to break into L1, I'm sure it would be easier for Jim to keep them, even at relatively low wages, as they clearly want to play football regularly, which is probably why they came in the first place. Really not sure where we'd be without those four.

I really fear for MFC if this week's games don't go well. Not only would a couple of losses push us down the table again, but it will just make attendances even worse.

Let's hope the key players remain fit and that Jim doesn't fanny about with the team selection and mess it up again.

I would rather a drab 1-0 win than an entertaining 4-3 fans will come back if were winning regardless of score if it was just about entertainment fans would be at the globe anyway. And it seems we play better in front of a handful of our own supporters anyway so maybe big crowds are over rated

It's a difficult one to predict.

It's Chumpions League night and will we see the lowest ever away attendance at The Globe?

Hopefully the Morecambe public might come out given our recent away results.

Its not rocket science.We get better results away because we play on the counter as the home team play on the front foot (cos they are at home).Our most effective style of play is nullified because at home WE are expected to attack and the opposition defend.We haven't yet learned how to break down a defense and given our tendency to concede the results are worse.
Homework for Jim is how to overcome this issue and have more than one style of playing; as good as we are away our home form continues to be poor,which makes even a playoff place difficult to say the least.

It is difficult for Jim as his main instinct is not to concede and therefore we do not push up and put pressure on the opposition. Chances initially for us will therefore be few and it is vital that every chance is taken. In these circumstances the only way of breaking down the opposition defences is to score first and force them to open up more so allowing us to score another 4 or 5

What concerns me tomorrow night is Crawley now have Mark Yates in charge, and in recent seasons his sides have always been physically imposing athletes who aren't very adventurous but will defend in numbers and try to nick something on the break or from a set piece.
Cheltenham under him were workmanlike but bloody difficult to play against, and were excellent at the dark arts of niggling, pushing, time wasting and just doing enough to put us off our rhythm just beyond the laws of the game if the ref is weak!!

I hope I'm wrong but really hope we score first.

i would like to keep a wining team, just feel 3 games in a week Jim might rest players.

me i would like to see us play the same team and wining formula and cross that bridge if players look jaded as/when/if it comes.

i can see a few floaters coming(100+) after recent results and goals galore, so lets keep it up COYS

No need to change a winning team apart from injury so come on Jim show the home fans what the team can really do
