O/T VPN's?

O/T VPN's?

Postby Keith » Tue Oct 27, 2015 7:00 pm

Anyone with experience of VPN's? Basic VPN? Cheap (free?) Quick? Safe?

I've been using Hola VPN browser extension but not sure if it is that good/safe?

Any thoughts from people who know?

When a 15 yr old can hack into a large business system with all its security, I can't see how such as these VPN things can be made safe.

Don't understand LANs or WANs, Cloud systems, ethernets, broadband phones or bluetooth either but still use them.

With all these airwaves our brains, those that have them, must be frying

'cause it won't stop the clever, determined 15 year old, but will hide you from the 8 year old with an empty Pringles tube!

(Old tech, but I knew people who did this years ago. They used to do it as a 'sport', getting in to networks but not changing things. They once got in to a pub's system and could have changed the prices from the car park. They also got in to a school, which was more worrying. Ah, it was all such a long time ago!)
