Anyone care to apologise?

Anyone care to apologise?

Postby broadwayshrimp » Wed Nov 18, 2015 9:21 am

Back in 2010 when we were stuffed 6-0 by Dagenham in the 1st leg play off Jim to his credit, then captain, came on here to apologise on behalf of the team's performance. Any chance of a repeat, either by you Jim or one of the players?

Does it really make any difference? I'd rather Jim just got his head down and sorted out the team and how we play at home.

"They got back to 2-1 and then after that I thought we lacked fight, lacked leadership."

Too right Jim! You were sat on the bench, nowhere to be seen in the second half watching the shambles unfold. You are the manager, you are a former captain. Lead by example! Unbelievable.

Yes it does make a difference. I was waiting for the proper apology.

Apart from spelling. Apologise immediately!

The manager is ultimately responsible, but when those pros cross that white line, they should observe common sense regarding weather conditions and you can't force them to play well.

Beggars belief how we can be worldbeaters one week, then even have a weekend off, then be total crap.

I'm not pointing any fingers ut we have, in my opinion, a few serial offenders when it comes to under performing, seems like some of em are like marmite on here though.

The only way to be apologetic, is to beat Barnet and get a winning run going.

...in STYLE. Forget the boring 'containment' that is crap to watch and isn't bringing success and go for it. It doesn't feel like that ling ago we were knocking it around beautifully and shooting on sight, then right on cue, we changed tactics and have been pants ever since.

So how did that work out then?

Absolutely. Seems to happen every year but this year to a greater extent. The early matches were exciting. We were scoring goals by playing attacking football and it looked as if the players were enjoying playing. Then Jim came on saying we'd done well but could do better as we'd been letting in goals and we went into the old defensive mode. What seems to be overlooked is the fact that, as fans, we don't really mind letting in goals if we are scoring more than the opposition. Attacking football has it's risks and you are bound to leave some openings but that doesn't matter if you are scoring goals yourself. It's called entertainment and that's what fans want.

For me Jim needs to put his bloody phone away and show some leadership himself.
