Request for help.

We have been asked by Colin to post this.

To the committee of the "Fans Club of Morecambe"

Further to recent communications between the lotteries department and supporters as well as postings on social media and messageboards it has been noted that there is a number of fans (inc I believe committee members) who wish for the use of "unpaid volunteers" to fill gaps at the club in terms of raising funds

I cordially invite therefore the committee of FCoM to rally the troops in a call to arms for helping assist with this and encourage the volunteers to come forward for the positions of:

(I) Lottery collectors / agents
(ii) Canvassers for the weekly draw
(iii) Match day Half time draw sellers
(iv) Match Day Programme Sellers

I am also sure the club would welcome those who wish to become matchday stewards, catering staff and Gate staff.

I would ask that volunteers contact either myself on lottery@morecambefc.com or via telephone to 01524 411797 (ext 7) - answerphone in operation when staff not avaliable

I trust this will be met with positivity by the board of FCoM and I look forward to reporting back to yourselves on a successful campaign of which I am sure the committee will support and no doubt actively participate in.

Together we are winners
Colin

Could I ask for clarification from Colin, either directly here or via FCoM, how the 'savings' such as lottery sale commission will be channelled in to the club?

Perhaps an alternative could be that the FCoM members do the sales etc with the commission going directly to FCoM in the first instance, then paid directly to the club for specific projects/items etc? We're all in it together, but this way the individuals will see a tangible outcome from their volunteering. In fact, at the end of season awards, it can be recognised what individuals have done?

So how did that work out then?
