This isn't a normal situation we're we are entitled to a fee. The whole reason tom has left is due to not getting paid situation. If a club hasn't paid a player for 40 days or more there free to speak to other clubs and this is what's happened with tom. There will be no tribunal and the agreement is they'll pay toms salary from now untill he's available on January 1st then he'll sign a contract with Preston !

can't help feel that if Tom had been played in his preferred position and not been messed about, he would have been just happy centre forward scoring goals, and we wouldn't find ourselves in this situation getting peanuts for Tom.

Tom could have potentially signed on for longer requiring a larger transfer fee from other clubs to sign him.
