Doncaster

Doncaster

Postby marky No.1 » Thu Feb 02, 2017 1:51 pm

Hodgie has suggested on Facebook that those going to Doncaster should give the lads a cheer when they get off the coach at the ground and it seems there is a lot of interest in doing this.

Quite a few of us will be in the Beefeater which is less than 10 minutes walk away from the stadium and as it's the only place with beer pumps in the vicinity, it's maybe a good place to meet.

Obviously there is no set time for this and it may be that quite a few others will make an effort to get to the ground earlier to give the boys a real good 'thank you' - they deserve it!!!

Great plan. How about a 90 minute rendition of 'Jim Bentley's Barmy Army'??

It would be amazing!
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Impossible for everyone to keep going for 90 mins I think but if it's done in relays who knows.

Please if you can get to the players entrance for 13.10 and let's make some noise for our boys as they arrive at the stadium

Seems Jim and the lads really appreciated this and I'm sure it must have helped to motivate the team even more today. Well done Hodgie for the suggestion and everyone else who got involved.

Well done to everyone, a very emotional day. Rod, Peter and Graham joined us in their fans bar and Peter was drawn to tears..... these are the proper MFC people putting their heart and soul in to everything they do for the Club.

I've put a video on Facebook of the coach welcoming even if I was a tad late arriving

It was a retrograde step for Morecambe Football Club when Peter Howard finished as the commercial manager. He had a knack for extracting sponsorship from companies that his successors have lacked and I have been told by several companies how they miss his visits.
