Cambridge Mascot Competition

Not seen anyone post this on here.

Bay Radio competition on Thursday and Friday morning for a chance to win being a mascot on Saturday and 3 tickets with a table in the W&L.

I think this is an excellent initiative for a bit of free publicity and greater awareness of the game. I've not heard any advertising on the Bay for several weeks (presumably because they can't afford paid adverts), and the old radio adverts were stale anyway. The club should have been doing W&L freebies anyway for years when they know the W&L is going to be quiet, and same when they know they've no mascot. Let's hope it's the first of many initiatives and part of new marketing initiatives.

You mustn't be listening at the right time, Ken. There have been loads on at various times every day.

As well as the Cambridge mascot competition they have been plugging the upcoming fixtures very regularly.

They've gone really big on the 'free pie and pint' over the last couple of weeks, extending it to push the next home games v Barnet and Grimsby.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!
