Why do you say everyone is entitled to an opinion and then berate people for theirs? :?

I think expressing an opinion that someone should watch another team for expressing their opinion was the point Star was making, which, in my opinion, is quite reasonable and you should therefore keep your opinion, to yourself...

...probably

Thank you, now why didn't I come up with that, you summed it up so much better than me!!!!!!

Whilst being chuffed to bits at the win, and understanding the need to "tighten up" in the second half. I totally understand peoples fear of apathy.

Probably not the right word, so I'll explain.

Some people would like to see their team push for a goal for 90 mins +.
In reality that is highly unlikely to happen even for a Premiership team.

But, to be totally content with what you have can breed laziness.
A team can stagnate, that's why you'll, maybe, hear the likes of Alex Ferguson making comments about his team needing to improve certain elements of play, even after winning.

That's why constructive criticism/comments should be welcomed. As should a celebration of good play, we are, after all, football fans and sometimes the other teams have good periods of play. Be glad of the spectcle, you've paid to be entertained by both teams.

Of course to see Morecambe win is a major plus

Ramble over. ;)

Don't know where I would be without mine. But I take your point.

The guy standing next to me didn't agree with my delight in seeing Waynaldo on from the start. However even he was left rubbing his eyes when the second rocket hit the back of the net. It didn't stop him telling me what a waste of space our longest serving player is *barf*

All along the back wall of the north stand are some incredible moaning folk. Even when we are doing well they start belly-aching about a mistake. Maybe I am a 'lemons to lemonade' sort and they are 'lemonade to lemons', but it makes me feel so much happier to encourage the team and take pleasure from the positive aspects of each player than get bothered about them sitting back a bit when 3 goals up. :ugeek:

I have said previously and still believe that when Curtis isn't in the team, something is slightly lacking, and it is his ability to create space for himself and for others. I don't even know if he is aware of what he achieves himself, but I do know Morecambe are better for him being there.
I think the true value of a player is seen more when they are out of the team i.e.injured as they can be taken for granted when they are in the team. Not saying this applies to every player, but I think it does re.Wayne.

All very well and good but am I allowed to be positive about yesterday or not?

Was it a good result?

Were we 'crap' in the second half or did we get a great result over 90 minutes without getting anyone needlessly injured?

Did we get three points or was one deducted for second half crapness?

I am confused (I know it doesnt take much) and concerned that I may have been too hasty in my satisfaction in sticking it to Mark Wright again and my general happy state of mind due to one of our biggest scoring games of the season yesterday.

What if 13th position is actually a relegation place now?

Even worse, if it wasnt for the points deductions we would be down in 14th place. What a nightmare that would be!

What if Ned has been right all along?

What if I wake up tomorrow and realise that I have missed an opportunity to have a dig / show concern at a display that saw us beat the old enemy without Howe and Stanley?

What if I get told to go and watch Man Utd? Surely no one would be that cruel?

;) :P

p.s. Star08 - I misread your post. Sorry, I actually agree that we shouldnt be encouraging anyone to go and watch anyone else. Especially 'them'

Mick - I know what you are saying, but I dont think the second half was about apathy or being content, more to do with not pushing when we didnt need to and possibly conceding further injury problems.

Keith - Bugger off and mind your own business.

When you take into account that we were without two of our three first choice midfielders then surely it has to be seen as a good performance, 3 points 3 goals and at last we took our chances, thats something which has cost us several points this season.

It wasn't as good a performance as Tuesday night, but that was to be expected with the enforced changes, under the circumstances i thought we did well, so i cant really see any reason for complaint.

Thanks for apology...oh, and my other team, courtesy of being Manchester born and bred, is MUFC, with MCFC in third place. My favourite team is defintely Morecambe though cos they're much more fun to watch!
