Accy 0-1 Grimsby May be something at least to smile about if it stays that way.

The season end can't come quickly enough for me. We look knackered and completely out of any ideas, fight or spirit but with all that has gone on in the last few months it isn't really surprising.

Today we competed for the fist 30 but as soon as the 3Rd went in you could sence that we were down hearted and despite an effort to play football on the deck in the second 45 we really created very little.

As much as I hate Evans he knows how to motivate and assemble a team of pressure merchants. Their fordward line never gave our defence a minutes rest in the second half which resulted in the defence having to play keep ball between themselves for much of the half.

As for JImbo's substitutions I just can't get my head around why Kevin stayed on the field as the expense of Turner. For me Kevin has been d only a shadow of his early season form and age is finally catching up with him and yet he still stays on the field for the full 90. it makes no sense to take off a striker at 1-3 down.

The game was only marginally better than that v Accy and we should avoid relegation but it's going to end a very very close shave.

Tuesday's the latest chapter in the ownership saga. Ijust hope that by next Saturday we know where we are in terms of ownership...but I'm not holding my breath.

One thing I just don't understand is why other teams close us down but we won't. Today, even at 3-1 up, they were closing down our defense on the edge of our box, when they could have sat back and taken it easy. It there's one question I'd ask of Jim, that'd be it.

I'd ask whats the plan? Clueless football all game! We equalised through a hoof clearance that their defender messed up, after that no width, no penetration, no idea! End of season has already arrived we just thank Newport and Orient for being worse than us. Next season same style nailed on relegation! 6 straight defeats and everyone says " aww bless JB"

Steve Evans game is all about pressure both from his players and by his staff on the touchline who question every decision. However all his current crop are battlers some with a fair amount of skill to accompany their aggressiveness.

They are also vying for a realistic play off spot so had far more to play for than us. Our lads did what needed to be done in February and know that we are safe for another season.

The players are just knackered and couldn't cope against Mansfields strong, energetic team.

In the second half trying to get back into the game, we did our best but our attacks had the effectiveness of a weak kitten and we never looked like getting a result.

The closing down from the Mansfield forward line was impressive - wish we could do that.
