Ryan Edwards

Might of been mentioned in another thread but apparently Plymouth want him along with a few others, would we still get decent fee if he goes even though he's out of contract being under 24 ?

Not totally unexpected....we just have to move on.

He was central to the worst MFC defensive records for the last 2 seasons so maybe a change will be good for both parties.

Compensation fee agreed between the clubs.

Wonder how much the compensation was ? Sad to see him go but can't say it wasn't expected. Really came on last year and wouldn't be surprised to see him step up a level again soon. Got everything to be a top defender, good luck Ryan !

A great loss & even more worrying with only 2 week to pre season training. Not heard much on the horizon so here's hoping for some more positives news in the coming days.

Just starting to come good. Hope Jim has someone lined up. Worrying lack of signings for me. Have we signed anyone new to add to an already thin squad?

Typically contracts run until June so no panic yet for me.
However the continuing saga of those who own the club and who is going to be in charge is very worrying for me, as nothing is clear.
Not a lot of signings being done in our division, plenty keeping their powder dry.

Also, we wouldn't want 'talk' of targets leading to other clubs sniffing around. From July 1st we will hopefully begin to see some movement.

Still think that as money is obviously extremely tight Jim can hardly bring someone in before he is sure who will sign the contracts offered to existing players and so know where the players are needed. He can't afford to make any mistakes.

This rather ties his hands as we cannot gamble on a non league player just on the possibility that he might come good. We won't have the depth of squad to cover for this.

To be honest it looks like the toughest season so far coming up.

No need to worry too much at the moment.
I recall last year when I went to the pre season match at Bamber Bridge on 12th July, and saw Michael Rose and Alex Whitmore play for the first time.
As has already been said, it is from 1st July when we should start to see some movement of who is re-signed and who Jim may be thinking of signing up.
