Shin pads at the ready..... :?: :?: :?:

Seem to recall that last time we played 'em in a pre season friendly it got a wee bit heated.

Just hope that both clubs will issue directives to both sets of players about over zealous tackles etc...

Have to say that whilst its intentions of being a match to raise money for local charities is excellent I do have concerns about the way the game could become one of local pride and therefore open to some dubious tackles etc.

:?: :?: :?:

Lets embrace it. Not much else to inspire with the pre-season fixtures, so lets have a tasty derby and put out a strong side and have a proper game. Wonder if the banned ex-Morecambe fans will try their luck on the away end?

I was thinking the same thing. Do they still attend the Giant Axe or were they banned following incidents at Kendal?

Aren't they banned from the ground? If so, good luck to them...

That won't stop them causing trouble outside the stadium. I fear the worst.

 they couldn't knock the Skin off a Rice Pudding.

I'm looking forwards to the fixture.

At first reading the thread I thought it was gong to reveal Barrow, not played them at the new Globe, I know Barrow Fans through Work and their itching to play us again on a regular basis, I know they've an attitude towards us, but they travel well in numbers and it's good revenue and it's cash what keeps us going.

They were not banned from The Giant Axe after all the trouble they had caused on their travels last season. I don't think they have the resources to go around handing out individual banning orders to all the culprits so they seem to be stuck with them unfortunately. I bet the extra income from all the cans of warm Carling they sell comes in handy as well.

I bet Kendal and the likes are glad to see the back of them.

It gives our neighbours a day out at a football league ground! Their invisible hordes will swell the gate! Was it the Lakeland Trophy match they managed to crock three of our players? Could be a wonderful start to the season

Were they ever charged & convicted of trouble at football? If so, the courts will hopefully have given them a ban from all football grounds. I wonder if there is an "until you grow up" ban specifically for children?

So how did that work out then?

This is not true. Please do not spread lies.

Banning orders were indeed handed out to the offenders after the Kendal trouble.

At LCFC we are looking forward to raising money for charity and Marshy's family. Anyone who doesn't wish nothing but the same thing shouldn't be attending this or any football game at either club.

If that is the case, then I am sorry. I second your views and hope every fan who attends does so for the right reasons and plenty of money is raised in Neils memory.

Apology accepted.

Now let's hope for a well attended friendly and a good game of football, then both our clubs can continue mutually ignoring each other until next summer.
