I have been told that Baz has picked up an injury and will be unavailable for a while.

IF true then thank goodness we've got a more than able deputy in DN...who some fans I know regard having a far better distribution than Baz.

However from Baz's point of view not the ideal start to a new season.

Baz always struggles with pre season and seems to pick up injuries

Or the team and it's fans' point of view. I guess the only ones pleased are the "some fans".

A few seasons ago we brought in a certain Scot Davis on loan while Barry Roche was out with a long term injury and 'a lot of fans" not "some fans" we're very vocal on the terraces and in bars and on social media raving about the difference in distribution and how the quality of football improved with the ball instead being thrown out to the likes of Beeley and Wilson to get forward and attack!

although Barry as a better presence inside the box than your average L2 keeper and good at 1 vs 1 making himself look big, Barry is still replaceable .

Congrats to DN.....but if rumours concerning Baz are correct then it will be our 3rd choice goalkeeper in the frame for a number of pre season games....possibly including the match v Lancaster but that will depend on when DN has to report for the Aussie games.
