I have seen a lot worse refs at The Globe than the one on Saturday.

He should have red carded the guy who assaulted Paul Mullin though.

Missed the penalty in the first half when a defender was hugging Kevs hips, a definate red for the assault on the going clear through Mullers. The clear push on one of our defenders before the scrambled rebound for their goal. Apart from that he was ok!

I only said I have seen a lot worse refs at The Globe than Darren Drysdale on Saturday.

I wasn't suggesting he was the next Mark Clattenburg

A bigger problem than Darren Drysdale is the question why are we producing such poor referees generally? For me the standard this season has been the worst in memory. As I said in another post any organisation producing a referee like the one against Cheltenham has a lot to answer for and is clearly doing things wrong imo. Several female assistants this season have been good, will they get their chance to be referees? They can't do any worse than many of the officials we have seen mess up this season!

I think female referees would be a good thing as they, rightly or wrongly, would feel a need to prove themselves and couldn't be any worse than some refs we've had. (I have Mrs Sak's permission to say this. )
