Listening to Jim who has taken some positives out of the performance but failed to even mention the biggest positve being that of the performance of Muller who looked at times a real prospect and for me could be the answer to our central midfield problems.

I just hope Jim can bring in a proven striker (not some development squad player, not used to the hurly burly of League 2) who can work in partnership with Oliver who for me could be the catalyst for much improvement in the final third.

Muller is a centre back, Kenyon is comIng back from injury, Winnard played last night when carrying an awful knock, couldn't walk after the game, so that leaves Old who isn't yet fully fit as he missed pre-season and Lavelle, so expect Muller to play at centre back, as that's what he is.
As for Osborne, you expect us to be more solid in midfield but want him further forward, he displayed a great range of passing and pushed up when we changed formation in the last twenty, reminiscent of a certain Mr Healey to me.
Time will tell.

Not disputing that he's a centre back but even some of WW fans recognise his ability to be a central midfield player.

He showed no end of skill going forward with the ball last night which as I've suggested would be an asset to our midfield problems.

Just my opinion which others may or may not agree.

Certainly deserved the MoM award.

As for osborne, he's an attacking midfielder signed by Fleetwood after scoring 20 plus goals from midfield. Last night he played far too deep in the first 45 but moved a tad forward in the second 45. He most certainly isn't a holding midfielder and again only my opinion but was wasted for the first 45.

:)

surely this is the kind ofcompetition in which jim can try different styles and formation as well as giving promising players a trial in different positions as he sees them in training
