Shame if it's true losing a good staff member

Postby Shrimper2015 » Sun Aug 13, 2017 3:59 pm

Just had to start a new account as I very rarely post on here. Just heard that the club are losing the head chef! If this is true it's a shame he's helped get the club on the map with his pies and cooking. Hope he does well in the future. :|

Agree it's a shame and a big loss HOWEVER he's served our club well but for his own career possibly a good time to move on to different options. I for one wish him well and certainly enjoyed his pies and pulled pork...possibly a bit too much....

Thank you...

Didn't know the club sold head pies but despite the weird choice of chef'ing expertise, I hope he finds somewhere just as good to cook his heads.

True Mr P, even I can make pies. Don't think anyone would buy them though and if they did, they wouldn't be coming back for more !!

Deeply unfair.

Graham put the club on the map with the pies and the British Pie Awards, which has generated us revenue and publicity. We're still the only small producer ever to win Supreme British Champion twice.

He's also been part of the team that's won League 2 Hospitality of the Year for yonks and were 3rd of all sports stadiums for hospitality, not just football. He's been at the heart of all that.

Lastly, like many others, he did his job while not getting paid.

Wish him well. He's been great for Morecambe FC and hope he leaves the recipes. Good luck Graham in everything you do. Just don't go to AFC Fylde.

Was Graham poached?

Seriously, well done & good luck to Graham. Not all the best chefs are appreciated as much as they should be.

I wasn't meaning to be unfair just stating a fact , I love the pies and appreciate his work for us, but if he wants to move on to better things ,the system is in place to continue his good work ,and if not , I would suggest ordering 330 pies a week off susans at 180, and selling them at 250, making a 70 pence profit and giving the fans a bargain

good luck in the future graham!!

Gone to Kendal Rugby Club apparently. Hope they don't start getting award wining pies!

is it worth the hassle when you add up the staffing costs and ingredients etc with hospitality vs profit?

think MrPotatoehead as a valid point regarding Susan's Pies, and it can't take that much skill to reheat and dish out pie n peas, it's all about the Gravy ;)

Pity they can't do chips with the pie, peas and gravy - like old times at Christie Park :D

And if they did Chips theres issues with the tray size , according to league rules a tray cannot exceed 15 x 20 cm .
