As always an honest assessment of how it is by Jim and it's getting more and more difficult for us to compete (if in fact we ever have) when teams below us are once again spending money in an effort to escape the dreaded drop.

Sometimes no matter how much money you throw at a problem, the returns are not always what you expect. Signing 6 new players at this time in the season can have the opposite effect on team moral in the long run.

I just hope that as and when we sign that invisible player ( :?: ) that opponents find him difficult to mark....and that he will be our catalyst for an improvement in our fortune which to date has been terrible, despite often out playing so called better opposition.

If he truly is invisible, they'll have a real hard time marking him, to be sure! :)

How will his teammates be able to pass to him if he is invisible? They have enough trouble passing to each other as it is! :D

Just had a thought, a lot of our passes do look like they are to an invisible player, so perhaps they have been practicing!

I don't think we need 6 new players Neil , just 1 will do who can bury these wasted chances that have cost us dearly . Over half- way in the season now and i don't think we have one player in double figures yet , goes to show how much we are in need of a goal grabber. Not the easiest task in the world on our budget i know but we need to be looking more down than we are up before too long.

Real shame as Stockton was great for us and a shame we couldn't snap him up instead of Carlisle

I think Kev's our top scorer on 8 in all games, 7 league, 1 FA cup :geek:
