We always used Hest Bank Kennels and Cattery mate back in the day.
Well priced and never any problems.

May be a bit too far out from Scale Hall but we put our 2 cats into the Gleneils Kennels in Burton in Kendal at least 3 times a year and have being doing so for the last 10 years or so.
The beauty of this place is that both cats can go in the same enclosure and have a large area in which to roam around rather than being stuck in their own enclosure all the time.

Always used Hest Bank but have also heard good reports about the cattery at Burton
