Talk on the Carlisle forum that we are set to sign him.

Experienced left back, good player, takes penalties and is good at set pieces.

If it's true it'd be a good addition, especially with the departure of our captain. He's been a solid leader for Carlisle so no doubt he would be a good leader in the squad. I'd probably be slightly disappointed if I was Conlon as I thought he had a decent season, but competition is a good thing.

Certainly been a problem position.

Was it Lincoln who put 40 odd crosses into our box last season ?

He scored a good goal against us when they won here 3-0 a couple of seasons back and takes a good penalty.

Having seen quite a bit of Grainer playing for Carlisle and although a dedicated pro and excellent Captain material he's not the best defender allowing too many crosses into the box. Reported to have doubled his salary if he agrees to signing for MFC but appears to be playing a waiting game to see who the new manager will be before deciding where to go or in fact to stay. No better than Brough who was let go and a higher salary as well.

He’s miles better than Brough!
