I broadly agree with you, but if Carlisle's financial position really is as bad as rumoured, the reason Jim may not be in the frame is because Carlisle wouldn't be able to afford to pay us compensation for Jim?

Until JB improves his season on season record he's going nowhere. No club will look at him as a potential manager unless he has a vast improvement in his record of results. We all realise he's operated under a diminishing budget season after season but potential clubs are only interested in results on the field not reasons as to why success has not been delivered. I hope for JB's sake that we have a far better season but that will be down as much to playing budget as to match tactics and style of play. A successful season could hopefully see him in the frame for a job at a bigger club but if it's a continuance of what we've seen over the past few seasons for whatever reason I can't see JB going anywhere to further his career. For his own future he needs a successful season because he's been with us too long and that has been to the detriment of his own future.
