o/t "Steeple for the people" fundraising auction

Postby Shrimp Girl » Tue Dec 12, 2017 12:07 pm

The Exchange Creative Community are fundraising to buy the old Trinity Methodist church (on the corner of Marine Rd and West St) to turn into a community hub for the West End of Morecambe.
They are currently running an online art auction with artworks donated by local artists; details here:
https://www.theexchangecic.co.uk/auction-2017

If anyone knows an art loving Morecambe fan :D :D that needs a Christmas pressie, I donated four tiny paintings (7" x 5") of some of our finest to the auction. The images on the Exchange site are not that clear so here is a link to some better ones.

Exchange CIC are a lovely group of people working to regenerate the West End for themselves. Put a bid on something and give this worthy cause a hand.

Nice work 'Shrimp Girl', enjoyed seeing your work in the Art Trail, I also had a photy in the auction (those who know me will see which one!!)
My other half (The good Lady Sparkle) has been heavily involved with The Exchange of late, music & artistry, & dragged me along too, which has been great, so many creative people in Morecambe & the West End in particular, this thing could be massive!

Steeple for The People - a great local cause.

My wife is heavily involved in the Exchange and the above project.

Please ask people you know if they can donate a quid or two to the cause:

Anyone spot the shrimps hoody? :D :D :D

It was a good article.

My aunt goes regularly. Apparently a lot of people call her 'Auntie Glen', so if you know her, say hello!

Would they be allowed to do a bucket collection at the next home game?

Captain Sparkle, you have a better name and better dress sense than that Grayson Perry bloke :D
