Very disappointed to see nothing on the OWS for a man who devoted so much time to the club

Very disappointing, shameful even.

Jimbo was interviewed by Radio Lancashire yesterday ahead of the Crawley game and he said he was devastated by the news and called him a legend.

We currently seem like a club without any soul if we can't pay tribute to a great servant of the club.

Just highlights even more the way things have gone at the club over the years and why so many fans have walked away.

Reading some of the tributes to Edgey yesterday reminded me of so many good times over the years on and off the pitch of which we just can't seem to recreate anymore (although why that is should probably be another thread).

I've had it confirmed that Dave's family don't want anything 'official' from the club.

Dave was highly regarded & liked by the vast majority of people at MFC. Perhaps in time, his family will take comfort from that knowledge.

Well the Shrimps are certainly living on the edge now. Its been a steady decline since Edgey left the club.

As Marky said, the club spoke with the family first. Quite rightly so. Once the family confirmed that they were in agreement, the statement was made.
