Wonder if there will be any costs to the club as the police vehicles were on club land ( Christie Way ), although no suggestion as to any home fans involved.

I thought you only paid for the Police inside the Stadium?

i'd be very surprised, it was nothing to do with Morecambe FC, it was public order with different groups of people in a public area.

BW is correct ..they have to keep the streets safe ..nothing to do wih the club.

on the other hand ..when we had to call police reinforcements a couple of seasons ago because our stewards couldnt control the Hartlepool fans it cost us a fortune!!

Shouldn't cost the club any extra it had nothing to do with us. Can send the bill back if one arrives.

That said, there were a few of the Free Tommy, FLA kind of knuckle draggers in the Ace stand and right from kick off it had the feeling that things might turn a bit unpleasant.
