Match day hospitality

I fully understand the fact that the club callout keep giving things away, and that making a profit is very important, but the hospitality packages are hardly ever fully booked, as excellent as they are I am bemused by the pricing .....Hospitality in the dining room £52 per person ( same price for concessions) ...too expensive.

Executive box, £600 for 10 people , or £8 pp more , too cheap.

I understand the fact that people are getting a meal plus entertainment , but I think the dining room package should be far lower if we are to attract users , because if you deduct the match ticket from the £52 you are essentially paying £30 for a bowl of soup, pie and chips, and a cake.

It may be £60 'each' in a box, but it is usually a Company or a friend that arranges and pays for it all while the others have fun on a freebie. It is the organisers that have been thinner on the ground leaving the empty spaces for the others to get an upgrade.

Hopefully the new regime will get to grips with this and get it all going again. I thought your idea some time ago for a hospitality season ticket was a good one.

An excellent suggestion in part. It's far better to reduce the price and have the place packed than keep it as it is and have the place only half full as it is at times. The cost of beer sales alone would probably compensate for the reduction in price IF the place was packed out.

I'd be radical and reduce the cost by £10 and also reduce the cost of a box by £50 , again better to have them all used than being under used as they appear to be now.

I'm not sure it is 'just' the price, you need something to make you want to go and then be happy being there, as opposed to feeling awkward and almost taken for granted.
You also need to hide your programmes and some of your drinks before any minesweepers arrive.

For me the M.O.M. presentation needs a revamp, they have improved the backdrop for the interview, but the microphone output and the noise from the people at the bar is disrespectful to the sponsors I.M.O.

For an award winning function suite the microphone problems have been embarrassing for years , and need addressing, I appreciate the fact the menu is a bit better than pie and chips but realistically it's nor competitive , a good reasonable pre match lunch is a good reason to go to the game, 2 people can dine on Steak for 12 quid yards away in the flyer on match days, I personally think 40 in the dining room for 2 courses is fair.

Personally I would categorise the games - top price for Carlisle, Port Vale, Bury and tweak it depending on the day ie Carlisle, Bury, Port Vale at New Year/Boxing Day/Easter.
Reduce Tuesday nights against Newport, Mansfield, Stevenage etc

Crumbs, it's like you've been involved in marketing or business or stuff like that? Are you suggesting that certain 'products' are worth more than others?

I'd be inclined to reduce the price even further for a little while until we get people filling the hospitality every week. Once we are selling out for every match, hopefully we will see those people wanting to return week on week, even if the hospitality price goes up.

Failing to score against Halifax and blowing a 2 nil lead doesn't help one bit no matter what the food is like or what the price is!

Also 6 cup games this season 3 at home and 3 away and not a single win from any of them. Cup runs bring in new fans and recapture lost fans.
I think we have a decent squad of players , probably the best squad since Jim took over the reins but the results don't show this. If we don't start beating teams especially those around us then we are going to be fighting a relegation battle. Notts County will pull clear and Macclesfield have got a "Sol Bounce" at the moment.
