Doonhamer wrote:TS what you have said is a direct comparison. You quote the common factor of 19 draws and draw attention to the vastly different outcome. Where your point falls down is not the number of draws but the outcome of the other matches.
If a team draws 19 and wins the rest that’s promotion form as it’s 100 points, but if the draw 19 and loose the rest Its relegation form of 19 points. As I say Sunderland have won 22 and lost 3 Morecambe won 9 and lost 18 a difference of 39 points which would have put Morecambe in a similar if not better position in the league. I am all for comparisons but not meaningless ones that seem to be popping up recently trying to get a quantum of solace from on the whole is a pretty mediocre season once again.
Your second point the stat that TS and you seem to think is interesting is MEANINGLESS as it’s taken out of context and not interesting in any shape or form, no more than the fact Everton and Leyton Orient in their respective games yesterday drew nil nil. Oh and look Everton are a premier league team and Orient in the national league. Interesting ?
Thanks for pointing out my spelling mistake. I rely on auto spell too much. My English teacher did say I should read before I submit. Are you an English teacher as I have never met an interesting one?
One last point, if you do find the TS point interesting then that’s your choice but my choice is to embrace culture, enjoy nature and have conversations with people to learn about them. This is called getting a life. You should consider it.

To make things clear for you as you seem to have difficulty. For me I watch football to be entertained. That’s why I also go to the theatre or the cinema or other forms of recreation to be entertained. My opinion, is that JB’s tactics and style of play constantly over the past number of years does not provide entertainment as consistently as I would like. I can live with draws and defeats if the game is entertaining and some of the best games I have been to have ended in defeat but enjoyed the game tremendously. Now if JB changes his tactics and playing style to entertain on a more consistent basis then I am happy for him to stay but history does repeat itself.
