ADAM BUXTON Signs

ADAM BUXTON Signs

27 yr old, proven versatile right-back at the level, comes with high praise from the Tranmere fans, saying his passing and set-pieces are superb and is one of the best RBs in the league when fit and up for it! Welcome Adam!

Signs for an “initial” one-year deal.

I have a feeling that if I was ever stuck with a jigsaw puzzle (not that I actually do them!), J.B. would be the best person to help me finish it. Adam sounds like an excellent replacement for Zak Mills. Welcome Adam and good luck .......... and well done Jim (again).

This lad sounds like another good signing. It might turn out that Mills is not the loss we all thought.
Welcome, and good luck to him.

That's the bit that sounds a bit worrying! However, I'm sure Jim knows what he is doing so......welcome Adam :D

Welcome Adam and we obviously hope you do well. However according to Wiki stats he was at Tranmere for 2 seasons and never started a game. Is Wikipedia wrong about his performances? If not what are Tranmere fans basing their opinion on?

Adam Buxton was the same at Stanley always picking up knocks partly because he is a no nonsense tackling type of fullback not the quickest but he has a good pass in him and his set pieces good keep him fit and you have one of the better league 2 fullbacks
nice lad too.

Bloody good signing for me. Do we want a better defender than Zak or someone better at going forward like Zak?

A better defender is the priority and if we sign an experienced winger as some seem to think we already have but can't announce until 1 July then we've got the best of both worlds.

With a striker already being whispered as having signed then midfield is the next area to be looked at and as already suggested I'd have no problems if another former Tranmere lad came into the equation.

"Good footballer, but carries a bit of weight. Should do well for you, I would have thought he would have gone to someone aiming for the playoffs" was the verdict from a Tranmere fan mate of mine.

Adams was actually really good! If he's as good as him then I'd be happy.
