Troublesome news indeed

Mrs Lion said no more season ticket after Tuesday night, and that is really terrible news ... she buys my pie, peas and gravy :o

I was surprised that the gate was as high as 1,616 . Take out the Walsall fans and nearly 1,400 Shrimps fans turned up which is a reasonable number for a Tuesday night after a shocking game like Scunthorpe.

Most probably fluctuated figures again. :|

Midfield is the problem Jim chops and changes it every week he doesn't his know his best 2 center midfielders and the ones we do have are all geralists, we don't have an excellant defensive midfielder or an excellant play maker they are all just somewhere in between.

We don't forget because it isn't true to say "ever". He bought Redshaw.

He should of gone after the shocking defeat to Daggers in the FA Cup a few seasons back. I gives my dues to the fans who attend week after week, I honestly don't know how you do it. Same rubbish season after season, nothing changes & nothing will change until Jim & Co are shown the exit door. I think Jim will stay tho, because it doesn't look like the owners give a t*ss. Jim is the most protected manager in football. The club need to do the right thing, but sadly I don't think they will....... Did someone say new 3 year contract?

You really think anyone else could have dragged us through the crap of players not being paid, and not being paid himself, time after time, and still emerged as a Football League club? No money, best players pinched season after season and yet still finishing above wealthy, big clubs like Notts County who get relegated? You say "most protected manager in football." I'd say Morecambe are the most over achieving club in football, we should have sunk without trace years ago.

So how did that work out then?

I'm actually on you side of this argument Keith but to play devils advocate we do have an example of a manager in our own league last season who achieved all of this, Sol Campbell.

I think it's unfair to say that Jim is the one and only person who could prevent us getting relegated. Whilst I personally think the chance of us going down would increase if Jim departed it's not necessarily a certainty.

I agree Shrimpy. I totally agree that many would have walked away, but it's dangerous to talk in absolutes, whether that be 'no one but Jim could have done it' or 'anyone but Jim would do a better job'. Your @r$e getting sore on this fence too?

Fleming is being missed badly IMO, towards the end of season he was brilliant, its shame hes had to cut his playing days short but we could do with someone like that in midfield.
Where has Gomez gone, hes hardly featured so far this season despite playing last season a bit.
Need to have someone to run at teams and give them something to think about instead of stopping, passing sidwards or the normal backwards.
The team we have should be causing issues for teams

This is the sort of negative attitude that we have all come a custom to.

It depends on your perspective to see that as negative -I read that as saying that we are doing well in the circumstances. Would you rather we did a Bury?

Show that quote to 100 non Morecambe fans, who are given the full circumstance of our situation. I am confident 90+ would probably struggle to read it as negative. :?: :?:

I think some folk have been spoilt over the years, it took a mighty effort to drag this little town into the massive world of the football league and to maintain it's status, given everything that's been going on???
The truth is, this will be as good as it gets right now but some might enjoy the taste of their pie more, back in the National League with all the other giants of the game
