Buxton made a big difference when he replaced Conlon, then we started to push forward against a complacent bunch of cobblers.I think the delay whilst replacing the Linesman broke their concentration!Kev on as late impact sub (as he should be) worked a treat. Tactical substitution genius by Jim?? A very good point in the end but still no home win!

They made a sub at half time and changed from 4-3-3 to 3-1-4-2 and it didn’t work, this allowed Tanner and Buxton the room to get forward more and they scored and created our goals.
Could have had a couple more, great save from AJ by their keeper and another effort blocked, but they too went close at 2-2 twice but the biggest howler was their fullback who drilled it wide of the post when it looked easier to score.
Before kick off, the BBC Northants guys were prefacing most comments with “no disrespect to Morecambe but...” and then went on to explain how the Cobblers would have too much for us.
They were the second team we have come across with big men all over and getting it forward long and early, we dealt with it a bit better than Grimsby, but it was only when we started keeping the ball and taking them on out wide we got some joy.

Took great delight in commenting very loudly at the end “No disrespect to the Cobblers but we could have won that”!!

Big up to Red Alert and Berlin btw, critical but positive.
A few who have been very very active in the past month very noticeable by their absence this evening??

We didn’t win, but that was sooo much better, if we could stop giving teams a goal start, who knows what could happen?

I think the problem is that Jim only adopts the right tactics when we are losing !

A poor first 45 but a vast improvement in attitude and commitment in the second.

Not as good as the second 45 v Salford (who could be looking for a new manager in the not too distant future ) but still better than a vast number of home performances this season and last.

However we still need to press a defenses back line for an entire game and ensure that an opponents forwards do not have time on the ball.

I was impressed in how the Cobblers surrounded our lads when on the ball giving us very little options other than to provide a thread of poor passes.

Too many intended passes going direct to the opposition which lead to their first goal....thanks to Tutte

Amazing,we got a draw after another poor first 60 minutes,up till then it must have been the cobblers easiest game of the season.Fortunate that Conlon got an injury and had to subbed by Buxton who changed the game for a very lucky jb,who luckily lives to fight another day,but it is only a matter of time in my view before he is replaced.People have voted with their feet,hardly more than 600 home fans,plus the freebies in the away end and a decent amount of away fans,where they get a crowd of 2200 is beyond me,pull the other one.Astounded that some on here trumpet a draw as though it is a great victory,that is what jb has done to this club with all his negative whinging interviews,we celebrate a home draw,wow!

Don't know where you are situated for any matches al1, but standing on the Catteral wall yesterday and looking across, the hospitality looked like an ant's nest with all the movement. That could have made the numbers up.

Hospitality wasn't as busy yesterday as recently. No queues for the Gents at half time, short queue for refreshments, quite a few "vacant" tables in the First Choice suite, and quite a few empty seats on the rows near where we sit at the home side of the C block. I'd say it was pretty average in there, and less busy than when they were doing the hospitality offers over the first few games of the season.

The Weather would have put a few off as would of recent results.

Plus Salford City a lot would of jumped on the band wagon thinks they'd be sitting along side the Class of 92 and who's last Morecambe game would have been like Notts County when Sven Goran Erikson and his Circus came to Town.

Quite frankly letting him have a free shot from that distance and letting it pretty much trickle into the corner is abysmal.

Took a toe-poked deflection from Steve Old which took it away from Barry's reach.

OK didn't catch that, but the amount of space we gave their No.6 to prepare to shoot and then turn our back wasn't good

People have been going on about a slight deflection, now i could understand if the ball deflected into the opposite corner and wrong footed Barry, but it didn't.

With reference to the attendance - didn't the club give away 100s for the away end? Probably had to include these along with season tickets etc regardless if they showed up. I'd say less than 1000 paying home fans if you take away season tickets.

The message was Keep the faith yesterday but I fear a lot of floating supporters have voted with their feet already. We have a hardcore of around 1000 and it looks like we are down to that already. Bradford will send the figures up but only because they are returning to their mating grounds for the weekend.

It didn't look like over 2,200 even including the freebies in the away end.

The home end looked very sparse as did the main stand,

Although speaking as an accountant I think its a fair enough accountancy practise to include all season ticket holders whether they turn up or not. The club has received their money and it is apportioned to all the 23 home games during the season.

Minor point Bill, but season ticket holders are paying home fans too.
