From what I've been told by a couple of Directors JB was more than just our football manager he also undertook a lot of additional duties that where not within his job description. As a result it is highly unlikely that whoever takes over will be of a similar nature and be prepared to undertake more than simply on field matters.

Rod and Co have their own outside business interests to undertake and it would be wrong for us to expect them to carry any more day to day responsibilities than they already do.

Therefore for me not only do we need a football manager (who will concentrates 110% on football matters) but we also need a General Manager to take complete control of all day to day functions of a football club as well as providing the necessary administrative back up to the new manager.

I understand that money is an issue but somehow the club must find a way to ensure that our new manager concentrates solely on on-the field footballing and squad matters rather than have to get involved in the admin side of our club.

Any appointment of a General Manager does not have to be a footballing person.They have to be first and foremost for me an organiser, an admin superstar and the face of our club. To expect any new manager to take on duties other than those on-field is not in the best interests of our great club.

The problem of course is finding that individual which may prove more difficult than the appointment of our new manager..... :!: :!: :!:

Well I'm on 30 days Consultancy Notice for Redundancy currently having worked for my company for 28 years.

So, if you're reading the above Rod and are looking for someone with excellent admin skills etc etc .........

To be honest I think we just took the Pi** out of a Jim a bit knowing he wouldn't complain and just get on with it and now we are going to have to be a lot more professional. We rely to much on the good will of some of the people at the club another example is Chesh no other groundsman in the country would put up with the lack of facilities he has.

If you bring an experienced manager in you can't expect them to clear dog poop off the training pitch and all the other things Jim had to put up with. They will come in take a look and say you must be joking I'm not putting up with that especially as you are menat to be a football league team.

Not having a pop rr, but those shouting loudest on here, were adamant that our previous manager was the problem, repeating it week after week after week............ and that the answer, even within the MFC shackles, would just be to replace him. Nothing to do with money. Now there is talk of owner commitment to the “right “ man, which almost implies disregard to wage cost, backing the new manager, money(?) and now suggestion of a salary for a General Manager. Not really like for like is it.
