I'm sure Derek will have more contacts than Jim ever did and with hope he'll be able to join up the missing dots.

Time has come to let Kevin Ellison go now, perhaps Flyde might want him! Would free up money to bring someone else in.Can't see a 40 year old getting game time under the new manager.

Apart from the last two games, when he came on as substitute in both matches?

Lack of options are dictating DA's team selections but when he starts rebuilding the squad, will he want a 40 year old taking a slice of the budget? Valid point for me.

Kev contributes more than a lot of the squad, on and off the pitch, and his contract isn't up.

If he has another club lined up, the two parties could agree to mutually terminate the contract or he could go on loan until the summer.

That's a different point to saying that he won't get any game time under the new manager, when he's already had game time in the new manager's first two League games.
