Radio Accrington.

Just listening t o the sports show this Saturday afternoon. Can't understand why the powers that be at Radio Lancashire allow the commentator to delegate so much time to Accrington Stanley.

Listening to DA he sounds upbeat about the performance despite the loss. I like his radio interviews as he says it as it is and doesn't offer excuses. He does find it frustrating that we can't string results and points together but it is what it is. On the plus side all the Radio commentators are very complimentary towards DA and in particular the way he sums a match up.

Probably because Accrington are now in the league above us which pro-rata seems to give clubs more air time, just like the Championship clubs and Premier league Burnley get more air time than the Div 1 clubs. Also I never listened but I guess the fact Billy Kee was at the ground saying his goodbyes contributed to the coverage, as it quite rightly should.

DA does come across very well though doesn't he. He is calmness personified when interviewed. Although our position is still best described as precarious he just gives an air of calm like everything is under control. Probably paddling like mad like under the surface, but he sure hides it well.

It has been a pretty busy newsweek for Stanley to be fair. Billy Kee announced his premature retirement and was going to be at the ground to say farewell yesterday. Andy Holt is good value with his Twitter account and he has been very vocal in the last week or 2 calling out the big clubs and the FA.

I look forward to DA's interviews. His tone has changed now, it is we and us now.

Andy Holt has just tweeted that he had originally been invited to Marina Dalglish's charity event and at the last minute he was "disinvited" presumably due to his views on the Premier League.
