Decision day?

Decision day?

Postby redrobo » Tue Jun 09, 2020 10:28 am

Hopefully by the end of today we should know what the EFL have decided about the current situations in both EFL1 and 2 and that we can then plan for our future. :?: :?: :?:

Don't be surprised if DA has already got players lined up for next season but is waiting until after 30 June before making any announcements about next season.

The EFL can`t come to a decision on anything ... These issues should have been sorted weeks ago

The EFL proposal on how to finish the season has just been passed.

There will be promotion and relegation from the various divisions. Bad news for either Stevenage or Macclesfield.

Still not decided outright, the EFL don't want to be responsible for any claim

The league 2 season is over and finishes as it is. Playoffs to be played and Stevenage are down pending certain assurances from the NL.

Thank God Derek Adams came in when he did and turned the team around.

Could still be Macclesfield going down if they get another points deduction?

He can plan for L2, but with no idea of budget and how a new season can start with what income we might have, he may as well play FIFA

Does anyone know our finishing position under the points per game system?

EDIT - just seen that we have finished 22nd as expected really.

It will be interesting to see what Tranmere do next as they had a proposal rejected and how the Stev-Macc saga plays out. Macc were hit with a new charge on 1st June. Andy Holt who has been silent on twitter for a few weeks is getting a bit of grief from the lovely people on the Wirral. Not a happy bunch.

I wonder if the retained lists will start to be announced now that everything is pretty much sorted for this season.

Stevenage always cheat us so good riddance.

Hard to see how Macclesfield can survive without being sold.

Delighted but somehow can't see the Stevenage owner letting it rest and therefore expect a legal challenge to the ruling.

Stevenage better get the lawyers ready. According to sky sports Macc stay up by one point even with latest points deduction.

They lost the most games, won the least games, gained the least points! Where's the justification for not being relegated?

Totally agree, it's a no brainer and the easiest decision they'll ever have to make.
