Latest EFL COVID tests

Postby Castaway » Fri Jan 08, 2021 2:04 pm

Following the latest round of mandated COVID-19 tests, the EFL can confirm that 3507 players and club staff from 66 EFL clubs were tested over the course of the past week with 112 individuals testing positive.
This week’s testing programme incorporated all EFL clubs who are participating in the FA Cup Round 3 fixtures, and the remaining six EFL clubs who did not feature will be tested ahead of their next League fixture with results announced in due course.

Players or club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate for a period of 10 days in line with Government guidance.

That seems alarmingly high with approximately 1.7 testing positive per team.

The last figure I saw about the national infection rate was that approximately 1 in 50 have it, yet it seems that around 1 in 30 have it in EFL clubs - very alarming

If the national rate is 1in50 (1in30 in London). Then the rate for under 35s going to work each day is probably around 1in30 so it's about in line with the average for the country

Once a player gets it, it will run rampant, they still spit and hug each other etc., I think they are now being told to stop all the celebrating
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think
