People moaning about the result, you're telling me that back in September, if we'd of said, This position with 6 to go? You wouldn't have taken it?

I'm glad this is the first post I read rather than trawl through some of the tripe before it. These are the same fans that were happy to win 10 games a season but are now kicking off because we won't be in the top 3. Done me a favour there Darksider Shrimp, cheers mate

Well, our expectations have certainly been raised to a very high level. From a team that at this stage in previous seasons who were looking at the results of teams above us to see if we could survive in the league, to a team looking at the results of teams around us to see if we can remain in the playoffs!

Well whatever happens in the remainder of this season it's been a pleasure to watch some of the brilliant results we have achieved, and frustrating to watch the ones we think we should have won like today.
But that's football.

I still think we will make the playoffs and who knows maybe win promotion. After the transformation we have had this season, anything is possible.
COME ON YOU MORECAMBE REDS..

Last 3 results are a bit disappointing but they were all tough games in their own right....

Cambridge - Top of league and going for automatic promotion

Southend - Next to bottom and scrapping for their lives

Port Vale - Team on form (18 points from 18 after yesterday)

We are still 5th in the league with 6 games to go - if we were offered that after 40 games we would have taken it

Onwards and upwards

If we win on Tuesday and Bolton lose we would be 1 point off automatic

I think it is understandable that there are frustrations after the last couple of results. It isn't a case of 'before the season started, we'd have bitten your hand off to be in the play-offs at this point...' it is simply that we're so close and we know we can play better. Regardless of how the season ends, it will have been a great one, albeit without the fans. Two games against Premiership/top flight clubs in 99 years then two in the same season. Up at the top end of League Two almost all season. In with a great chance of Play Offs and still possibilities of automatic promotion. All, fantastic in our centenary season.

But, after a couple of off games by our own standard, we really need to bounce back on Tuesday. Six cup finals coming up! We really could do with pasting someone too, because goal difference could make all the difference (Bolton +5, Tranmere +5, Forest Green +5, Morecambe +1).
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Just seen the highlights. Since when did a tackle from behind in the box without winning the ball become okay? Stonewall penalty.

The guy on Quest summed it up perfectly, quite rightly saying we have had some dodgy decisions that have affected our results in the past few games.
But hopefully we will get a few more shots off on Tuesday as we have been poor in the last couple of game on that side.
