Just back, a really gutsy performance and over the two legs you have to say we deserve to go to Wembley. I've missed coming home having lost my voice! The fans at the ground were fantastic all afternoon.

Despite some awful treatment from some of their players all credit to Tranmere for making a game of it BUT also very predictable in their offensive play which played into our hands. Some of their player didn't look interested after we scored.

Their manager on Radio Lancashire was going mad at them.

He was mad on sky said his players lacked desire and effort from the start. He said he told them we would attack from the start but his players just didn't look up for it.

I'm not sure about the 5 sub rule it gave them a chance to change half their team.

Brilliant start and got that all important goal to give us a cushion - and it was a lovely goal too!

Got to give a shoutout to McAlinden. A bit on the peripheral all season, generally coming on to see out games or to try and grab late goals etc, but has been directly involved in all our play-off goals! Really lovely couple of touches and pass to set up Wildig's today.

We weren't completely convinced by Letheren initially but he's turned out to be a great signing - some big saves and catches today. Also thought Cooney was unbelievable once again. Blackett-Taylor did not get a sniff!

Horrible last few minutes but we dealt with the kitchen sink they through very well. Thought Kenyon coming on was a great move, that added aerial defence he provides was crucial to easing us through those last few minutes.

Need to calm down a bit now

Absolute farce before the game - “gates open at 11:30am” and it was over half an hour later when fans actually started getting through the turnstiles.

The crowd got so large outside the ground that the ID checkers couldn’t do their job properly and people were confused which queue to stand in, so people were just walking through the turnstiles without having bags/track & trace checked.

Thankfully the performance and result overshadowed this ( :D :D ) but it caused a lot of unnecessary frustration for those of us (and there were a lot!) who turned up at 11:30!

Anyway, lessons will be learned, and we’re off to Wembley!!!

Men of the match were the fullbacks, Toums, Songo’o, and of course Az for the goal! There were no passengers in that performance - Carlos didn’t have much of an effect but he did his job well and helped defensively to keep us compact. James Vaughan was nearly as bad as some of the Bolton lot! Feel privileged to have been back in the ground and the atmosphere was brilliant and a great lap of honour from the lads at the end. Derek Adams needs a knighthood.

When you watch it on TV you really appreciate how good Toums and Songo are they are immense.

I think when you are at the match you get to caught up in watching us attack and also don't get the close up view.

Also watching our defence more they are amazing how they back each other up and cover for each other.

Watching on sky you don’t get to hear Norman Collier ( one for the older readers ) doing the announcements :D

I'll have to find a replay later. Somehow missed it at the time

As the ball was headed, he's clearly off-side. Not only does he not have two players between him and the goal, he doesn't have any!

Ref also bottled it on two red card situations. The first, when their keeper came out of his area and him, a defender and McAlinden al ended up in a heap. The defender lay on the ball and grabbed it. Obviously handball, but arguably, if it had gone loose, McAlinden had an open goal. We didn't even get a free-kick. The other was Vaughn sliding in and kicking Letheren in the head. Clearly dangerous play. He was holding the ball before the challenge had been initiated in my opinion. If not, then why a yellow card? If it was a foul, it was red. If not dangerous play, then it wasn't anything.

Fortunately, it didn't matter but imagine if Tranmere had gone through...
