Lillis joins Wayne's footy forum panel

MORECAMBE assistant boss Mark Lillis is the latest personality to take part in a football forum at Christie Park on Monday for the first of a series of events marking Wayne Curtis's testimonial season.

Lillis joins boss Sammy McIlroy, referees' supremo Dave Allison and Republic of Ireland goalkeeping coach Alan Kelly for the forum on Monday, April 27.

The evening will have a question and answer format and should provide an insight into life at the top level. All football fans are welcome. Kick off is 7.30pm.

All money raised on the evening will go towards the Wayne Curtis testimonial fund with tickets priced at only £10 including a hot supper. To book a ticket contact the club on 411797 or ring Derek Quinn on 07944 480796.

* A Boxing Event between Barrow ABA and Skerton Boys Club has also been organised at the Carleton on May 8.

There is a scheduled 14 bout ranging from junior to heavyweights.

There are limited amount of tables which cost £250 for 10 people including a hot pot supper. Tickets are available for standing only at just £15.

There will be numerous raffle and auctions on the evening with the VIP guest being professional heavyweight Boxer Tyson Fury.

* THE York Hotel is staging a Race Night on behalf of Wayne's testimonial on Saturday, May 2, in aid of Curtis's testimonial. A number of Shrimps' players will be in attendance on the evening which follows the final planned League 2 game of the season against Bournemouth.
