Blackburn 1 Morecambe 2 [Stockton, Phillips]

Excellent evening out that. Thought Rovers had a strong team out and in that first half we were chasing shadows for the large part. Second half when Robbo adjusted the team it was a cracking game and anyone who says Rovers didn't want it (team and fans) is deluded. They threw the kitchen sink at us towards the end and the atmosphere was cracking.

Only disappointment was Gibbo's injury. From a distance he was carrying his left arm as he was taken off so maybe a dislocation which will mean a few weeks out. We really are struggling with injuries which is already testing the squad depth.

Very poor first half, and then what a turnaround in the second half! I loved the shape change, it was excellent. Gave us an extra defender to deal with their front three and have our wing backs match their wing backs, kept an extra man in central midfield and allowed Stockton and Ayunga to partner up which proved incredibly effective.

Both Gibson and Toums were excellent after coming on. Toums gave us that bit more control on the ball and organisation, while Gibson in that left centre back role added a great surprise attacking threat. He worked really well with Leigh in that second half, who was my MOTM after a superb performance.

Will be interesting to see how SR approaches the Shrewsbury game. My guess is he will probably revert to a 4-3-3 but it's good to have that 3-5-2 in the locker should it ever be needed.

Was nice to have 2 strikers on amd a rare sight seeing 2 strikers link up for a goal.

Bburn didn't have an answer for us second half Gibson and Toums added some quality when they came on.

I disagree with the comment about Derek. I think he would have matched them from the start rather than have to change at half time. We were caught out in the first half tactically but full credit to SR for changing it and for getting a huge response in the 2nd half.

First half, it was men against boys. Rovers should have been comfortably out of sight.
Second half, it was men against boys, only we'd become the men and we bossed a game in which Rovers basically played their first team.

Gibson was superb when he came on. Really hope he isn't out for long.

That's probably why they were virtually silent until they scored and then went quiet again when we equalized, then started leaving 10 mins before the end. Their players even trudged off the pitch without applauding the home support for turning out. Completely different scenes at the away end.

Horrendous turnout for them. I know they were poorly supported in their hey day but last night was pathetic.

Mowbray has been arrogant in his very very whiny and tedious post match interviews as well. Outplayed and sung by "i know it's only Morecambe".
