As Shrimps fans we are in dreamland. The highest level we have ever played. The best squad we have ever had. Facilities at The Mazuma are improving (to the point where I haven't seen a single negative post for the last two matches). Superb performances with football on the deck and confidence oozing from the players. Record crowds that are really adding to the matchday experience. Competing in the league and also beating the likes of Championship side Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday. We have been in every game and could have got something out of every game. We are pinching ourselves and still not quite believing that this is happening. Happy to take 7 points from five games.
On the opposite side of the coin we have Stephen Robinson who I suspect is actually disappointed we haven't had more points on the board and not only expects, but believes that we have the squad to compete with the best. He was not happy with our first half performance yesterday and I would not want to have been in the dressing room at half time.
In Robbo we have a winner. He has hand picked his squad and he has full confidence in them. He has surrounded himself with a quality backroom team as well and he is here to make a name for himself and for us too. When Derek ditched us I was a little nervous, but I think we have stepped up a league with managers too with Robbo. You can tell the players have massive respect for him too. I am so excited about this season and what it will bring.
Thank you to each supporter yesterday that made the atmosphere so amazing! Robbo has said himself that positive support makes a massive difference to the players. The fans were superb yesterday (again!) and have also stepped up a class this season. It is great to see so many fans back at The Mazuma that drifted off previously. Once a Shrimp, always a Shrimp! Days like this are life memories and we will never forget them. I suspect that more will be coming and that season ticket sales will continue to climb. There is a real buzz around the town and long may that continue!
Sorry for long, rambling post but I was still buzzing this morning thinking about yesterday!

It wasn't an 'anti-Derek' comment. It was an explanation as to what I think happened last season. He absolutely transformed the club, and I had hoped when we won promotion, he would remain with us. But after he left, I think we've appointed an even better manager, who I believe fits the ethos of the club generally. A manager who wants to build something special. Derek laid the foundations. Stephen is building a castle!
