Seen the gaffer wants him out and playing to improve his decision making.

What sort of level are we thinking? National League? Possibly AFC Fylde even?

Yes at the very least National League North. He's a talented lad but is now desperately in need of regular game time to aid his development.

We need to forget this ‘Shrimps connection’ lark. Stephen has no connection personally to Fylde so I’m sure he’ll be trying to get Freddie a much better loan than that. I’d say he’s capable of at least a competitive NL side. He proved last season that he does have quality, but I doubt he’d get any games in L2.

Barrow?

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

A loan to a League 2 side or a National League side would be far better than Fylde! He's a talented lad and should go where that is encouraged.

Barrow?

I think he’d definitely add something to the likes of Barrow and Scunthorpe, but with the implications of dropping into the NL being so high, I’d be doubtful that they’d trust Freddie at his age to be anything more than a sporadic late super-sub. However, he’s not getting game-time with us any time soon so maybe it would be worth a try?

On Barrow specifically, they’ve done some very impressive business over the summer - clearly they’ve had a massive budget increase - so a move there looks unlikely.

No offence to Freddie but watching him in the Kendal game the level he’d get regular starts is no higher than Conf North. Sub appearances aren’t enough and there’s a lot to work on to turn his ragged potential into something much sharper. Also needs a club with a good coaching setup - Southport, Chorley or Chester would all fit the bill. Do a loan until Jan and if he seriously performs then push him up a league.

Rather he gets 90 mins every week at NLN than 20 minutes every other week at L2. I rate him and think he has good potential but, like Posh, I can't see him being a regular starter at L2 level currently.

Worth remembering he's still only 19. It's not like he desperately needs to be playing at the highest level possible right now. It's absolutely fine if he has to play at a slightly lower level for a season or two at the moment to get game time and match experience.

Agree with both of the above.

For his development and for him to progress then a loan period at NLN level would be an excellent move for him.

As suggested we could look at his progress until the New Year and maybe see him go onto the next level.

A loan at Altrincham or Marine would be amongst those who he could benefit from.

Maybe even a move North of the Border to a club that SR knows will look after him.

Could be wrong but isn't Freddie from Merseyside?????

Really am surprised that to date there appears no club wanting to take Freddie on loan. It must be worrying for him that he sees a number of forward players that SR has signed but he can't get into a match day squad.

Surely there are teams at National league level who he could do an excellent job for.....but is it the terms of a loan that are putting such clubs off... :?: :?: :?:
