The pressure is building on the management team as we slide down the table. A return to League 2 would be a disaster. The manager talks a good job but our deterioration continues. Yes, we need players in the transfer window but the same group of players performed better early season. It’s a worrying time.

The way we are shipping goals at the moment I Can only see us maybe picking up 2 points from next 5 games. We will probably be in bottom 4 by Christmas.

The thing is its the same team bar Sam that was so good at the start of the season what has gone so wrong.

Is it just Sam isnt there marshalling them surely it must be more than that.

Has moral dropped in the dressing room is togetherness not quitr what it was as there is a lack of leadership, who knows but someting has changed.

Very poor tonight. Had a good 10 minute spell either side of half time, but aside from that it really wasn't great.

I understand why Robbo went with O'Connor at CDM to get a bit more steel, but it didn't really work. He looked uncomfortable there, and we suffered at CB without him.

Two main lessons from tonight: O'Connor is our best CB, and formation isn't the reason for our defensive troubles.

Back to 4-3-3 next game please with AOC at the back and McLoughlin providing that energy and extra steel in midfield. Think we need a horrible nasty aerially dominant CB in January to compliment AOC like Lavelle did.

Confidence.

Earlier in the season, we went out expecting something positive. Now, we go out expecting to get beaten. We went through a phase of dropping points, but we were unlucky. No team really beat us. Even Rotherham, it took a world-class goal to see us off. Burton only beat us by one goal, but could have had six. Tonight, we were chasing the game for 70 out of 90 minutes. Midfield never really got going at all. The forwards had almost nothing to pick on, let alone reasonable chances.

So how did that work out then?

Morning all!

We played much better than we did on Friday, that's for sure. First goal a little unlucky it fell nicely for him but we should be tighter, third goal is a great finish, second is very avoidable.

They marshalled Cole really well.

Thought our MOTM was Jokull, Gibson also very good.

I did think Robbo was going to offer me out into the carpark for a straightener when I asked him about the thinking behind a change of position for certain players! Have a listen in the pod here:

Gibbo is battling 'a health issue' and was tired, that's why he came off. Unfortunate we then conceded. Alfie is out for a few weeks. Doesn't appear great for Aaron either. We're a bit short in central midfield now.
