Seems to have gone quiet and the odds are back up now, Derek is now back at 1/2 which he was last night before he went 4/5 .

Steve Evans 2nd fac at 6/1 surely not, Rod and Graham must remember him from when he was at Boston all those years ago.

One common gripe against SR was that players had not been noticeably improving. One would hope that
in the same way we expect players to improve, we should also expect our managers to develop .

Hopefully if DA was appointed, he would appreciate a different approach would be needed to that which got us promotion. Shutting up shop would not be the answer as we desperately need a few wins.

I would be happy if he were to be appointed, and I'm sure he would be keen to prove that he is not just
'a good league 2 manager' but can hold his own at a higher level. He has good knowledge of many of the current squad and can surely give what is a reasonably good team the little tweek it needs to take us to safety.

I'm not sure Derek has changed his style though especially listening to Bradford fans. I am all for Derek until the end of the season but long term I am not so sure I think everyone has worked out Derek's tactics and how to stop it.

I wonder what happened when he went back to St Johnstone for a second time, I once went on their forum when we first appointed Derek expecting him to be a god up there but they sounded just like Plymouth fans warning about dull/ugly football and how he tends to fall out with people near the end.

In reposnse to the Steve Evans comments, Evans is just about ok, however his side kick is a totally different kettle of fish - but then he is an ex north ended !!

Can anybody tell me what Pep Guardiola was doing at The Mazuma today??? :D :D
Seriously it is a difficult but VERY important decision that our B.O.D. have to make. On my office wall here in Cyprus I have a large sign about MFC which includes the statement about us being the only current club in the top 4 divisions never to have been relegated since the formation of the original club (that buggers up all the Arsenal fans). Fingers crossed that I will not have to change that sign by the end of the season.

This is like watching paint to dry.....

Thought we may have had some news from the Board about the situation but hopefully to busy talking amongst themselves on Zoom or whatever about what to do.....or whom to appoint... :?:

No doubt we'll be informed as and when some decisions are taking but as I said the top of this message...'it's like watching paint to dry.'....... ;)

At least last time we had updates like there had been dozens of applicants which were all been reviewed etc but nothing this time which makes me think do they know exactly who they want.

Dereks odds gone back to 1/5 tonight after having a bit of a wobble this afternoon.

I wonder if we have been in talks with him (and maybe others) today but nothing signed as yet hopefully news tomorrow.

Exactly my thoughts! We say we don't want (or need) the decision to be knee-jerk, but then moan that we haven't appointed someone after just two days!

So how did that work out then?
