So they announce it as the 20th as it’s 10 days before, then decide they are very sensibly not selling any on the day so it’s today, and caught everyone out!!!

Seats "sold out" and only 500 standing left. Great comment on Twitter asking if unused seats can be resold.

I hope the club have got it right this time after the scenes against Bolton. More stewarding, more staff in kiosks or more temporary catering and better checks on ticket sales are a must.

Agreed. Sincerely hope no registered Morecambe fans are daft enough to buy with a view to selling on to desperate Sunderland fans for a quick tidy profit.

Hopefully Lancashire Police don't get caught with their pants down again ala Bolton. Can imagine there will also be Sunderland fans in the resort without tickets who will be desperate to get in, particularly if they need something from the game. From what I've seen over the years they are friendlier than Bolton but there could be issues if everyone isn't on the ball.

Only 275 tickets on The Berlin Wall remain. Sold out with over a week until the game is played, total madness.

Have any details of what time the turnstiles and bar are open from on the day, with it being an earlier kick off than normal?

Seems like it wouldn't have been too hard for any Sunderland fans who were on the ball looking to buy in the home end. Setup an account a few weeks back and buy the cheapest ticket in the home end and you qualify to get 4 in this.

Bolton fans bought tickets for the Papa Johns knowing they could then buy tickets for their fixture at our place. I #askedanya but she said only a few got in because our fans sold them on. A bit short sighted.

Good job we aren't relying on the sign in big letters outside the Community Offices in Skipton/Victoria Street to publicise the Sunderland game.

It's still showing the next game as versus Burton Albion on 2nd April.

They must read SV in the Community Office. They now have our next game as Sunderland with "sold out" on the board.

Looks like that would maybe only work if you'd attended those previous matches

Yeah fair play to the club for cancelling those tickets of obvious Sunderland fans trying to get in the home end. Didn't think it would be something they'd bother doing so surprised they went to the effort.

Can probably expect some tickets to go back on sale to home supporters this week.

Totally agree, nice to see the club on the front foot on this one. I do feel the involving the Police is a bit heavy handed though.

I suspect that hasn't actually happened. It's just to deter anyone after what happened in the home game with Bolton.

I've never, ever, ever, tried this but according to the Offishul website -
Turnstiles will open at 11:00.
All concession kiosks will be open and serving food and drink, including our renowned pies as well as both alcoholic and soft beverages.
So, presumably that means we can get a pie & a pint before the match, from behind the Bartercard?
I've only ever rushed out of JBs & straight into the stand before! :?
Been round there at half time, of course! :ugeek:

Methinks you have temporarally forgotten that kickoff is 12.30 :) so opening an hour and a half earlier is quite normal
