World Cup 2026

There is a valid argument to say that the placing of the World Cup was incorrect and i will not argue against or for it either way BUT surely nobody can dispute that it has seen the rise of lesser known footballing nations come to the fore and for the world game as a whole then surely that can't be a bad thing.

Looking forward 4 years and i dread to think of the out and out commercialization that the US will endeavour to make of the tournament and with their current refusal to extradite a convicted criminal to face her sentence in a UK jail ( in addition to its internal politics and the obscene gun laws) if there will be a concerted outcry by certain sections to denounce the World Cup being staged in the US and elsewhere as there has been about its staging (good or bad) in 2022.

Pretty sure that...

a) This is "Off Topic". Seriously, after all these years???
b) The "convicted criminal" was given a suspended sentence.
&
c) The USA don't send rape victims to prison, for daring to report their rape, like they do in Qatar..
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
