Simple question but one that only Jason can answer but for me is it because he wants too much money for us
If so the time will come surely when he has to lower his expectations and accept what he can get

This is a difficult one but let’s look at what anyone will be buying.
Let’s look at any assets. Please this is my guess so please put me right if I get it wrong.
All the land has gone except the land at the front of the stadium Don’t know what it’s worth say £75000. The team has a value but only if there is someone to sell and someone wants him enough to pay. Most are on one year deals or on loan so no asset there.
The freehold of the land of the stadium is up for grabs but you cannot do anything with it because of the trust on the stadium. So really no asset there.
Other income from hospitality and commercial is not a large amount as thousands are not buying Morecambe FC merchandise.
So all those interested in making money have nothing to invest in as any returns are minimal to say the least unless we get promotion after promotion into the big boy leagues and attract gates in the 10,000 + and all the commercial success that comes with that. That in itself would take a huge injection of cash.
The only other buyers would be someone with loads of dosh who would want a football team for the bragging rights and as a plaything. Something that many on here do not want.
The best thing would be a fan buy out. Say 2000 putting up £2,500 or local businesses putting up multiples of this and giving the current owners an offer of £5million.
This would mean that with the emotional attachment of fans that the investment would be for tge long term and not making a quick buck. Obviously any losses would have to be made up by the shareholding fans so the best that could be hoped for is a break even season.
The Current owners have been very clever as they have stripped all the assets, made a killing and are now looking for the door to leave nothing for the next person.
I want MFC to be successful but our ambition has to be limited I am afraid.
Interesting to hear your thoughts on this.

Power Stations are owned by EDF, a global power company. What's in it for them?
Fuel comes from Westinghouse, a global nuclear services company. What's in it for them?
We are small fry.
