O/T Time for a new TV

O/T Time for a new TV

Postby redrobo » Tue Aug 22, 2023 2:49 pm

Our Panasonic TV which we've had for over 15 years is finally showing its age and we've decided its time to replace it with a more up to date model.

Problem is we've been given so much advice by our Son in Law on which makes to go for that we are no clearer as to what to go for.

He has suggested LG as he has a 55" LG OLED himself and then at the other end of the scale he's mentioned Hisense which I know nothing about other than its a Chinese company that is expanding into the TV market like crazy.

We are tempted to get another Panasonic either a 40" or 43" model but as always finance dictates so we've set a budget of a maximum of £500.....with some change would be welcome ;)

Unclear as to whether full HD or 4K makes much difference within our budget.. :?

I'd appreciate the thoughts of other SVers....please.... :)

Add the £50 you were planning on giving Whittingham... £550.

So how did that work out then?
