Aghhh... how did that not go in?!?!? Their keeper going in the wrong direction but manage to get a hand to the ball and basically slapped it off the goal line, in to play and it was cleared.

Ref had a good first half but is falling apart in the second! Mayor booked, then gave away a second foul for reasons only the ref saw, but the Tranmere players are kicking lumps out of us and we're getting nothing?

Both Mayor & Senior were shoved over while defending, and the ref let the game carry on! At half time, I almost commented that he was having a decent game!

Bloxham was MotM, which I'd agree with.

Phew! Great save from Smith, but Tranmere really should have buried the rebound!

Watched it back four times. I reckon it was a cross, come shot, but it was probably bending enough to be on target, so Stokes will probably try and claim that as his goal! The defender doesn't want it for sure! :D

Tranmere are always tough, rough battling games, no different this evening. Ref didn't help matters, not giving cards to Tranmere players when warranted, and giving undeserved card to the magnificent Adam Mayor. But what a resilient batting team performance by the mighty Shrimps!!! Well deserved 3 points!!! Brilliant!!! Recuperate, regroup and go again on Sat against a team Accy have just beaten, that's only just!

Yes he walked off holding his blood covered boot , looked ok.
Totunda appeared to be holding his stomach area.

Another good game to watch with some slick movements. Should have scored a couple more during our domination, then nearly gave it away at the end.

Nigel Adkins couldn't believe they didn't score in the dying minutes.

Donald Love had 8 stitches to his foot according to Dereks interview and would be assessed for Saturday ! . Modern day boots dont exactly provide a lot of protection for the foot !

Played some good stuff last night and a couple more goals wouldn't have flattered us.

Our problem will be our small squad rather than our standard of football this season.

Now would be a really great time to sort the ownership out, as the current owner isn't going to put money in for the next transfer window.

It wasn't a pretty game to watch but it was more than enjoyable. After 2 seasons of chasing shadows it is good to see us competing with teams again. I thought our young lads battled well against a physical Tranmere side and at times we passed them to death. Bloxham and Senior have formed a great partnership down the right and ripped Tranmere to bits in the first half. Stokes was impressive alongside Jacob who looks too good for the level. Mellon and Mayor seemed to be a bit off it last night.

Derek not being on the touchline was a big miss

Yes Derek was missed last night, but I wonder if he was running things from upstairs. If not I think John McMahon ran it well last night.

Derek was on the phone to Ged as well as storming down to the Comm's position and having a chat with the Ref assessor. I felt it was a bit chaotic without him there last night. The Love substituion was a bit messy and they got away with quite a lot.

One of the most enjoyable games with Tranmere impressing for the first 20 minutes encouraged by their manager to get forward all the time.

What ever DS has done to Slew it certainly appears to be working as he just gets better and better holding the ball and using his speed whenever hecan.

Also considering that it was his first almost full game in the squad Stokes was a revelation in my eyes and didn't put a foot wrong all night. Calm and vocal throughout he was excellent.

Still have my concerns about Smith in goals and just wish he'd stop his walkabouts out of his area at times.

DA was in the Directors box and on one occasion was given it loud to a certain player. Certainly the addition of a further body on the management side has helped.

As for Saturday it could be down to the bare bones squad wise and I wonder if there will be a recall for Rooney from Nantwich to provide another body on the bench although he was taken off after 55 minutes on Saturday not sure if it was due top an injury.
